I came to James looking for a mortgage as a recently-divorced, self-employed mother of two. I didn't even know if I would qualify to get one. James was wonderful and so great to work with. He was patient and informative and really put me at ease. We reviewed my finances and he helped me get my ducks in order so everything would be ticketyboo on the application. He explained what type of mortgage I could get and what I couldn't, so I didn't waste time on avenues that weren't going to work for me. He outlined the advantages of different lending institutions, asked me for my thoughts, and made recommendations based on what was important to me and what would work for me. Because finding a house was taking a while, he advised against getting a pre-approval before I needed it, which was great advice (since they expire). We had all the documentation ready to go and he kept his eye on the interest rates. One day he called me to say it looked like they were heading up, so we applied right away and got a pre-approval before they did. I felt so lucky to have such great service. Because of James, not only do I have a mortgage, but I have a great one. I can't recommend him enough.
